| Hainan Chicken Rice | ||||||

The screenplay of "Hainan Chicken Rice" was awarded OUTSTANDING SCREENPLAY of 1999 by the Taiwan Government Information Office. The script has been published in Chinese.
It is the same award given to Ang Lee in 1993 for his internationally acclaimed The Wedding Banquet, and to director Chen Kuo-Fu for The Personals in 1997, which was a domestic box office success in Taiwan and also an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999. |
