Written
for the World Wide Fund for Nature, "Lolo's Big Adventure" is
the story of a Black-faced Spoonbill named Lolo, who migrate with his
mother from Northern Asia to Hong Kong. On their way down the coast of
China, an electrical storm separates Lolo with his mother. He must learn
to fend for himself as he looks for the promised land his mother once
told him about.
Lolo's Second Adventure
The second
part in the series of Lolo's adventures, Lolo loses his friend Sid the
Fiddler Crab. Being blamed for leaving Sid in the bush area with a scary
monster resides, Lolo is determined to confront the monster and find his
friend. This tale of courage takes Lolo to the perilous ocean, a human
seaport and into the concrete jungle.
Hainan Chicken Rice
The
screenplay of "Hainan Chicken Rice" was awarded OUTSTANDING SCREENPLAY
of 1999 by the Taiwan Government Information Office. The script has
been published in Chinese.
It is the same award given to Ang Lee in 1993 for his internationally
acclaimed The Wedding Banquet, and to director Chen Kuo-Fu for The Personals
in 1997, which was a domestic box office success in Taiwan and also
an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999.
